There are many ways to pray to Mother Divine. There is no single method that works for everyone. Each person relates to Devī in their own way.
One simple way is to sit with a hymn or even a small part of a hymn.
One such verse is:
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु मातृरूपेण संस्थिता ।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः ॥
Transliteration:
Yā Devī sarvabhūteṣu mātṛrūpeṇa saṃsthitā
Namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ
Meaning:
O Devī, you are present in all beings in the form of the Mother.
I bow to you again and again.
This verse comes from a larger hymn known as the Aparājitā Stuti, which is part of the sacred text Caṇḍī Pāṭha/ Devī Māhātmya/ Durgā Saptashatī). It speaks to the presence and glory of the Divine Mother.
A simple way to bring this prayer into your day is to say it when you first wake up, before getting out of bed.
You can return to it throughout the day, silently or softly, as many times as you feel drawn to it.
